| dc.description.abstract | In economically advanced countries, the welfare state practices began to dissolve after the great economic depression of the 1970's, paving way to the "New Right Wing" ideology to emerge. The New Right Wing ideology argues that the state should change it's status as producer of economy into that of a role of the supervisor. This role change is done through privatization. Privatization began in Turkey during the 1980's to change the economy into an open market policy. Thus the selling of Public Ecomonic Enterprises began. TUPRAS had been landing first place in the ISO reports of "The Biggest 500 Companies in Turkey", since 2001 and it was privatized in 2005 as a result of this privatization policy in Turkey. During the course of privatization, The Petrol- Is Syndicate tried to create public opinion against the privatization of TUPRAS through certain actions. These anti- privatization campains highly interested the media and they were used as feature stories every now and again. The news stories on privatization and the reflection of workers protests in the newspapers; Birgün, Cumhuriyet, Hürriyet and Vakit creates the subject of this thesis.The work has been produced in four chapters. The first chapter examines the history of capitalism while the second chapter deals with the analysis of one of neo- liberalism's most important results; privatization. The third chapter of the thesis gives information regarding TUPRAS's technical and managing facts. Also the privatization process of TUPRAS and the workers' protests in reaction to it are also examined here. The final chapter of the thesis works in three levels; Empirical Study, Visual Analysis and Text Analysis. | tr_TR |
| dc.description.ozet | 1970'li yıllarda dünya ekonomisindeki büyük krizin ardından, gelişmiş ülkelerde refah devleti uygulamaları çökmüş ve ?Yeni Sağ? ideolojisi ortaya çıkmıştır. Yeni Sağ ideoloji, devleti ekonomide üretici rolden çıkarıp, denetleyici role bürünmesini savunmaktadır. Devletin rolündeki bu değişim, özelleştirmeler ile sağlanmaktadır. Türkiye'de de özelleştirmeler 1980'li yıllarda ekonominin serbest piyasa ekonomisine dönüşümünü sağlamak için uygulamaya konulmuş ve Kamu Iktisadi Teşebbüsleri'nin satışı başlamıştır. İstanbul Sanayi Odası'nın hazırlamış olduğu ?Türkiye'nin en büyük 500 şirketi? raporunda 2001 senesinden beri ilk sırada olan TÜPRAŞ'ta bu doğrultuda özelleştirme programı içerisine alınmış ve 2005 senesinde özelleştirilmiştir. Özelleştirme süreci içerisinde, Petrol-Iş Sendikası önderliğinde TÜPRAŞ'ın özelleştirilmesine karşı kamuoyu oluşturmak için eylemler düzenlemiştir. Düzenlenen özelleştirme karşıtı eylemler ulusal basında değişen sıklıklarla yer bulmuştur. Özelleştirme haberleri ve özelleştirme sürecinde gerçekleştirilen işçi eylemelerinin Birgün, Cumhuriyet, Hürriyet ve Vakit gazetelerine yansıması bu tezin konusunu oluşturmaktadır.Çalışma dört bölümden oluşmuştur. Birinci bölümde kapitalizmin tarihsel süreci incelenmiş, ikinci bölümde Neo-Liberalizm'in getirisi olan özelleştirmeler tahlil edilmiştir. Çalışmanın üçüncü bölümde TÜPRAŞ hakkında teknik ve idari bilgiler verilmiş daha sonra TÜPRAŞ'ın özelleştirme süreci ve bu süreç içerisinde gerçekleştirilen işçi eylemleri incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın dördüncü ve son bölümde ise ampirik çalışma içerik çözümlemesi, görüntü çözümlemesi ve metin analizi olarak üç aşamada gerçekleştirilmiştir. | tr_TR |
