| dc.description.abstract | This study presents that because of urban renewal projects, it is possible to expect some changes similar to the encountered in gentrification process in Ankara Kalesi where a historical urban centre and immediate surroundings. There are some factors which prevent gentrification in the area but we can expect similar problems like displacement with support of urban renewal projects.Before projects, rumours of them have affected the residents and shopkeepers of Ankara Kalesi. They could imagine future of Ankara Kalesi and immediate surroundings. Homeowner residents (substantially they are shacks) have some hopes and expectations. They want to get some benefits from the alteration process because Ankara Kalesi will increase in value. On the other hand, tenant residents who are waiting for to buy a flat and move using the economic opportunities of the area (social welfares, low-cost housing, being centrally located etc.), worry about their future.In consequence, this study suggests that it could be possible to reduce gentrification impacts of urban renewal projects by means of a social impact assessment study. | tr_TR |
| dc.description.ozet | Bu çalışma, tarihi bir kent merkezi olan Ankara Kalesi ve yakın çevresinde, kentsel yenileme projelerinden dolayı soylulaştırma sürecinde yaşananlara benzer bazı değişimler yaşamanın mümkün olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Bölgede soylulaştırmayı engelleyen bazı faktörler var ancak kentsel yenileme projelerinin desteği ile yerinden edilme gibi benzer problemler bekleyebiliriz.Projeden önce, proje söylentileri Ankara Kalesi sakinleri ve esnafını etkilemiş bulunmaktadır. Onlar, Ankara Kalesi ve yakın çevresinin geleceğini hayal edebiliyorlar. Ev sahibi olan sakinler (büyük oranda gecekondu sahibiler) bazı ümit ve beklentilere sahipler. Onlar, Ankara Kalesi değer kazanacağı için değişim sürecinden fayda sağlamak istiyorlar. Diğer taraftan, bölgenin ekonomik imkânlarını (sosyal yardımlar, ucuz konut, merkezi olma vb.) kullanarak ev almayı ve taşınmayı bekleyen kiracılar gelecekleri konusunda endişelidir.Sonuç olarak bu çalışma, kentsel yenileme projelerinden kaynaklı soylulaştırma etkilerinin, bir sosyal etki değerlendirmesi ile azaltılmasının mümkün olabileceğini önermektedir. | tr_TR |
