Abstract
Sa'd b. Ubadah who was the son of tribal leader of Sons of Said, the lower arms of Hazrec tribe, lived in the Arabian Peninsula and generated people from Medina who helped immigrated Muslims, was well-educated. He was one of the rare people who was very expert in reading, writing, shooting, swimming and regarded as being al-Kāmil during his time. He attended the second pledge of Aqaba allegiance and was chosen as Naib by Prophet Muhammad (on whom be Peace). Since then, he served Islam as a devoted Muslim and took his place at credentials committee of the Prophet Muhammad. Nevertheless, he did not give up the conception of protecting his tribe at all costs and rivaling Evs tribe dated back to the period of Age of Ignorance. Sa'd b. Ubadah indicated this conception through siding his own tribe and members of the tribe in some incidents during the exact period of the Prophet Muhammad. He was the first to become caliph of Muslims immediately after the demise of the Prophet Muhammad and he did well on this. However, he displayed timing failure and did not succeed in giving up tribal conception by speaking and acting according to this conception. Ultimately, he lost caliph's election. This situation was heavy for his psychological condition and migrated to Havran for that matter. He lived in Havran until his death and did not attempt any kind of disunion or political activity. He died in Havran on 14/635. Kays, son of Sa'd b. Ubadah, served as the lifeguard of Prophet Muhammad from the time of his coming to Medina until his death. He was one of the Arab Geniuses. He lived peacefully until the caliphate of Ali b. Abu Talib and was not involved in any political activity. He supported Ali. He became the governor of Egypt in his time and was dismissed later. After that, he became the commander-in-chief of Ali and was engaged in all battles together with him. He did not give up honesty, loyalty and courage in all his political activities. Following Hasan's agreement with Muaviye, Muaviye accepted the agreement under the terms demanded by Kays. After the agreement, he returned to Medina and lived there until his death in 60/680.
