| dc.description.abstract | Günümüz iletişim teknolojilerinin gelişimiyle ortaya çıkan sosyal medya, liberal görüş açısından özgür, katılımcı, demokratik bir ortam sağlamaktadır. Aynı zamanda eleştirel yaklaşım için sosyal medya, yeni bir sömürge, gözetim ve baskı ortamı yaratmaktadır. Tüm bu yaklaşımlar etrafında sosyal medyanın ifade özgürlüğü ve demokrasi alanı yaratıp yaratmadığı farklı tartışmalara konu olmaktadır.Bu çalışmada da sosyal medyanım demokratik katılım ve ifade özgürlüğü sağlayıp sağlamadığı, Türkiye özelinde incelenecek ve ortaya konulmaya çalışılacaktır.AbstarctFrom a liberal perspective, the social media as originating from the advances in modern communication technologies constitute a liberal, participatory and democratic platform. For critical theory, at the same time, the social media produce a new milieu for exploitation, oppression and surveillance. At the centre of all these approaches, the issue of whether the social media creates an environment for free speech and democracy has been a subject of so much debate.In this study, the issue of whether the social media provide a democratic participation and freedom of speech will be examined and manifested within the context of Turkey. | |
