Abstract
Christianity and Islam, which have arisen in the closer regions of the Arabian Peninsula, have the same tradition of revelation. From these religions, The Christianity, has emerged in I.Century A.D. under the control of the Roman Empire as a Jewish revival movement, later became a universal religion while diverging from Judaism. Besides Islam, has emerged in the Hejaz region of the Arabian Peninsula, six centuries after the Christianity.The Christianity, has arisen the Palestine region of the Arabian Peninsula, had been expanded by the missionary work starting from the I.Century A.D. In addition, Christian merchants, had affected the spread of this religion. And also the slavery had a partial role in the spreading.While the Christianity had been spread with the above-mentioned ways, Islam appeared as a new religion at the beginning of the VII. Century, and there had been relationship among these two religion. In this context, Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, had constructive diplomatic and military relations, with many Christian leaders in the Arabian Peninsula and around it.Besides of these generally constructive relations, the Qur'an had both positive and negative statements. The Christians in the Qur'an, are sometimes described as more closer to Mohammad and his believers in terms of love and having compassion, comparing with other religons? members. This positive statements of Qur'an changed when it comes to tawhid. The Qur'an had criticized the Christians due to the belief of Jesus as the God, as the Son of God and the claim of crucifiction of Jesus and tries to change these inaccurate beliefs and deifying Mary.
