| dc.description.abstract | Ankara İstasyonu, Ankara'nın Altındağ ilçesinde konumlanmıştır. Ankara Gar sahası, stratejik ve merkezi konumu nedeniyle önem teşkil etmektedir. Bu tez; tarihsel gelişimin yanı sıra Ankara Gar sahasında bulunan demiryolu yapılarının mimarlık ve sanat tarihi açısından incelendiği bir değerlendirme çalışmasıdır. Literatürde bu konu ile ilgili tarihsel süreci de inceleyen bütüncül bir çalışma olmaması nedeniyle, bu tez çalışmasının, tarihi ve kültürel verileriyle sanat ve mimarlık tarihi alanlarına katkı sağlaması beklenmektedir. İstasyon ve çevresinin tarihi ve fiziki gelişiminin incelendiği bu çalışmada; söz konusu alanda günümüzde mevcut olmayan Ankara Eski Gar Binası; alanda bulunan yapılardan Ankara Garı, Gar Gazinosu, Atatürk Konutu (Demiryolları Müzesi), Cer Atölyeleri, Genel Müdürlük Binası, TCDD Demiryolları Müzesi ve Sanat Galerisi, Lojmanlar, Ankara Yüksek Hızlı Tren Garı mimari ve sanatsal özellikleri ile birlikte değerlendirilmiştir. Bu tezde Ankara gar sahasında bulunan yapıların mimarlık ve sanat tarihi niteliklerinin, simgesel anlamları ile beraber disiplinler arası ilişkiler kurularak irdelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. İstasyon alanı nekropol alanı iken, Milli mücadelenin karargâhı olarak yer almış ve tarihsel bir odak noktası olmuş; Cumhuriyetin simge yapılarının bu sahada yer alması ve planlardaki konumu nedeniyle Ankara kentinin giriş kapısına dönüşmüştür. Günümüzde demiryolu taşımacılığı açısından kentin giriş kapısı olmaya ve önemini korumaya devam ettiği gözlenmiş ve tartışmaya açılmıştır. | tr_TR |
| dc.description.ozet | Ankara Train Station is located in the district of Altındağ of Ankara. Due to its strategic and central location, Ankara Train Station possesses significance. This thesis is as an evolutionary study of the structures in and around the station; not only in terms of historical development, but also for architecture and art history. Since there is no holistic study in the literature that examines the historical process on this subject, this thesis is expected to contribute to the fields of art and architectural history with its historical and cultural data. In this study which covers the historical and physical development of Ankara Train Station and its vicinity, the Old Ankara Train Stations, which does not exist presently, Ankara Train Station, Café (Gar Gazinosu), Ankara Cer Atelier, Atatürk's House (The Museum of Railways) , The Office of General Directorate, The Railways' Museum and Art Gallery, Public Housing, Ankara High-speed train station are evaluated by their architectural and artistic features. The main aim of the thesis is to investigate the features of architecture and art history of the structures in Ankara Train Station's vicinity by involving their symbolic value in an integrated and multi-disciplinal approach. While the area had been a necropolis, it evolved into headquarter of national defense and became a historical focal zone. Furthermore, the area is transformed into the city-gate of Ankara since it involves Republican symbolic structures and the functional location in urban plans. Today, the area is observed to preserve its gate function of the city in terms of railway transportation while it has been subjected to controversial debates. | tr_TR |
