Abstract
The find of Qumran Manuscripts in 1947 is the remarkable discovery of modern times in terms of theological thought. They are dated to ancient times between 250 BC and 70 AD. This period is very significant for both Judaism and Christianity. Then, modern Rabbinic Judaism and Christianity took their forms at this period respectively. Therefore, Qumran Manuscripts play an important role in order to understand this structural period. Besides, they are also very important for Islam, which recognizes that Judaism and Christianity are the significant experiences of Abrahamic tradition, in spite of criticizing them. Our dissertation consists of two chapters. In the first chapter, the concepts of ?son? and ?sin?, which manuscripts consider them important, are discussed. These concepts are also very important for Judaism and Christianity due to they are differentiated through these concepts. Additionally, the concepts of ?New Covenant? and ?Teacher of Righteousness?, which make Essenes distinctive from other Jewish sects, are also discussed. In the second chapter; the theological assertions, which theologians and scholars argue about Judaism, Christianity and Islam on the basis of Qumran Manuscripts, are discussed. As a result, the big controversy between Jewish and Greek thoughts caused existence of various Jewish religious interpretative schools. One of them is Christianity. As one of the very important results of the dissertation is this: Christianity transformed Jewish concepts under religious, social and political circumstances distinctively.
