Abstract
With my study entitled ?Anatolian-Cyprus Relations in the 2nd Millennium B.C.?, the connections between the two regions are examined with the help of written documents and archaeological finds.?White slip? and ?base-ring? vessels, which are produced in Cyprus, are discovered at many settlements in Anatolia, especially at Troy. The Anatolian ceramic called as ?North-Western Anatolian Grey Ceramic?, pilgrim flasks, and small objects are found at settlements in Cyprus. When the written documents are studied, we see the efforts of each nation as well as Anatolia in every period to conquer Cyprus, since Cyprus has an important situation for sea trade. We can also receive information from these documents about the interest of the Hittites to the island and about the people sometimes exiled to the island.Briefly, Cyprus maintained its importance during every age due to its location and established relations with other states through sea trade.
