Abstract

Developments in information technologies and the resulting increase in the volume of documents produced in institutions have made the manageability of documents difficult. With the transfer of the documents to the archives, the archives facilitate this difficult situation that occurs in the management of the documents with the help of technology. The contributions of technology in archiving will bring different changes and innovations with the effective use of artificial intelligence today and in the future. In this study, examples of the uses of artificial intelligence in archiving are presented, and the innovations and developments that will be added at the point of professional change are mentioned. Due to the lack of sufficient Turkish literature on the subject, it is aimed to contribute to the literature. Detailed studies and sampling have been made based on local and foreign literature on the use of artificial intelligence in archiving. Finally, a strategy principle model has been developed and suggestions that will contribute to the application of this technology, which is not widely used in archives, are presented.
