Abstract

In this study, 66 maxillary central human teeth were selected for use. The teeth are mounted in acrylic resin up to enamel-cementum border. Then each tooth mounted on low-speed water-cooling microcut had been cut from enamel-cementum border primarly and 4 mm below this border consequently. Root canal spaces prepared using a tapered diamond bur, at low speed handpiece. Space for sealers placement was created with the following standardized dimensions; large diameter= 2,00 mm, smaller diameter=1,50 mm and lenght=4mm. The specimens were randomly divided into six group; Group 1: NaOCl/AH Plus Jet, Group 2: NaOCl/iRoot SP, Group 3: RC-Prep/AH Plus Jet, Group 4: RC-Prep/iRoot SP, Group 5: MTAD/AH Plus Jet, Group 6: MTAD/iRoot SP. After the root canals were filled with sealers all specimens were stored in a humidifier at 37 ºC for 72 h for complete sealers setting time. Each specimen was then subjected to a compressive load via an universal testing machine a cross head spead of 1 mm/min using 1 mm diameter stainless steel cylindirical pluger. The plunger tip was positioned so that it contacted the only filling material. Processing of the test continued until a sudden decline in the load/time on the computer program. Maximum failure load was recorded in Newtons and then converted into the megapascals. After the push-out test, all specimen were examined under steromicroscope at X50 magnification to. identify fracture models. Randomly selected three specimens of each group were examined in SEM.Push-out bond strength values showed statistically significant differences among the group (p<0,001).There was no statistically significant difference between the Group 1, Group 2, Group 3, Group 4 (P< 0,023; P< 0,143), Statistically significant difference was present between Group 5 and Group 6 (P< 0,001). In MTAD group AH Plus Jet sealer was showed a better bond strength than iRoot SP sealers (112,0±17,50; 17,4±9,00) and there was a significant difference (p<0,001). Intra group evaluation for AH Plus, showed that there was no statistically significant difference between Group 1 and Group 3 (167,5±40,25; 181,5±38,50), however, Group 5(112,0±17,50) showed lower bond strength. In iRoot SP group there was no statistically significant difference between, Group 2 and Group 4 (191,0±27,50; 187,5±54,75), however Group 6 which MTAD used (17,4±9,00) bond strength was decreased, and statistically significant difference (P<0,001). Steromicroscope examination of the specimens revealed that mixed failure seen in AH Plus group (% 66,66) and cohesive failure seen in iRoot SP group (%56,66).Key Words; Adhesion, AH Plus Jet, iRoot SP, irrigation, push-out test
