Prof. Ahmet Hikmet Eroğlu, 105 p.Inculturation is a term used in Christian missiology referring to the adaptation ofthe way the Gospel is presented for the specific cultures being evangelized. The term waspopularized by the encyclical Redemptoris Missio of Pope John Paul II (1990), butpredates that encyclical.For the Second Vatican Council, the history of evangelization has been andcontinues to be a process of cultural adaptation, of "communion with various culturalmodes," "a living exchange . . . between the Church and the diverse cultures of people".The council noted that the Church profits from the treasures buried within the diversityof human culture and that "from the beginning of her history, the Church has learnedto express the message of Christ with the help of the ideas and terminology of variouspeoples, and has tried to clarify it with the wisdom of philosophers, too. Her purpose hasbeen to adapt the gospel to the grasp of all as well as to the needs of the learned, insofaras such was appropriate. Indeed, this accommodated preaching of the revealed Wordought to remain the law of all evangelization. For thus each nation develops the ability toexpress Christ?s message in its own way. At the same time, a living exchange is fosteredbetween the Church and the diverse cultures of people". John Paul II?s encyclicalRedemptoris missio (December 7, 1990) emphasizes the necessity of inculturation of thefaith as a serious and urgent ecclesial duty, especially today.However, Inculturation as a missionary technique has been effectively appliedamong the Muslims as well as Turkey and causes cultural and religious dejeneration inour country.In this thesis, Inculturation is analyzed in every aspects.tr_TR

Köken itibariyledaha eskilere dayanmakla birlikte Papa II. John Paul tarafından popüler halegetirilmiştir.II. Vatikan Konsili'ne göre, Evanjelizasyon, bir kültürel uyumlaşma süreci,kültürlerin birleşmesi süreci, Kilise ile farklı toplumların inançları arasında birkarşılıklı kültürel alış-veriş süreci olarak eskiden olduğu gibi günümüzde de varlığınısürdürmektedir. Kilise, varolduğundan itibaren bu yöntem ile sa'nın mesajını farklıkültürlere sahip insanlara uşlaştırabilmiştir. Böylece her toplum, kendi kültürelunsurlarına bağlı kalmak suretiyle sa'nın mesajına sahip olabilmiş ve bu mesajıbaşkalarına anlatabilmiştir. Özellikle günümüzde inkültürasyon ile sağlanan diyalog veiletişim imkanlarının kullanılmasına ihtiyaç vardır.Bununla birlikte, bir misyon yöntemi olarak inkültürasyonun, Müslümantoplumlarda ve Türkiye'deki uygulamalarının kültürel ve dini bozulmalara da yol açtığıgözlenmektedir. Çalışmamızda nkültürasyon birçok yönüyle ele alınmıştır.tr_TR
