Abstract
The aim of this study was investigated which training methods more effective for gaining on aerobic capacity, anaerobic power, strength, speed, flexibility and tecnical characteristics of soccer players are into shorter period in preparation season.Although 24 amateur soccer players participated voluntarily in this study, the study has been completed for the data obtained from 23 players due to one player could not attend to the second measurement. Firstly, aerobic based training was applied for all players during 3 weeks and then ?first measurement? was realised. For determining of participant?s physical, physiological and technical qualities; age, body weight and height, aerobic capacity, speed, leg strength, vertical jump and flexibility were measured, also anaerobic power, body mass index, body fat percentage, fat free mass and total ?soccer technique values? estimated. According to tests results 3 similar groups had been composed as ?Small Sided Game Group (SSG)?, ?Interval Running Group (IRG)? and ?Conrol Group (CG). Then, during 6 weeks; SSG and IRG groups were trained regularly for 3 days in a week via 4x4 min. small sided games and 4x4 min. interval running training. Other 3 days of a week all groups trained with low density exercises for example; tactical training and recovery training. Control group participated only low density exercises. 1 day was left to rest for all groups. During 6 weeks period, groups never applied any special strength, speed, flexibility or technical training. Finally; end of the 6 weeks, second measurement was realised.Values, obtained from pre-test and post-test, were compared statistically by using SPSS (ver. 16) with the help of ANOVA and Wilcoxon Two-Related-Samples Test. Alpha level was set as 0,05 for statistical significance.Small sided games training for a 6 weeks gain VO2max capacity and bouncing ball with the head like the interval running training, at the same time small sided games gain leg strength, vertical jump, bouncing ball with the feet and head, and also hitting the target with the ball (it means passing skill) differs from interval running. In drippling with a passing test, only IRG has a significant difference between pre and post tests.
