| dc.description.abstract | Hasirizade Mehmed Elif Effendi (1266/1850-1345/1927) is one of the late Ottoman period mystics, and he is the last sheikh of the Hasirizade Sa'di Tekke located in Sutluce, Istanbul. He received authorization and caliphates from such orders as the Sadiyyah, Mevleviyyah, and Shaziliyyah. Being also a mesnevihan himself, Mehmed Elif Effendi held between 1907-1911 the chairmanship of the Assembly of Sheikhs as well. In addition to his achievements in poetry and calligraphy, Elif Effendi had enough architectural knowledge to draw plans for tekkes, and he devoted his whole life to learning and teaching; he penned many works in many topics from Arabic grammar to Logic, and to the Darwin theory. Elif Effendi received, starting from his childhood years, a good medresseh education is such many fields as Arabic, Persian, Koran Interpretation, Hadith, Sufism, Theology, and Logic. And, attending the classes of the prominent teachers of his days, he received authorizations from them. While he was only thirty years old, he became the head of the Hasirizade Lodge; he maintained this position of his for about forty five years until 1925, in which year the tekkes were prohibited. During his period of sheikhdom, he trained many students teaching them such eminent works as Mesnevi firstly, and Fusus, Fütuhat, Shemail, and also Hadith and other religious sciences. During his sheikhdom, the Hasirizade Tekke was the cradle of a rich cultural life, and numerous people including statesmen, artisans, scholars and the society attended his sohbets (talks). Elif Effendi wrote in prose those of his works other than Divan and en-Nehcu 'l-kavim. Works of his written in prose or verse reflect the linguistic characteristics of his period. They also pour light on the historical and social events of those days. He is a strong mystic and thinker who was nurtured in a period in which the Ottoman society and the whole Islamic world wavered in all fields. Furthermore, he is a prominent figure in our cultural history with his literary standing and poet identity. Elif Effendi is a non-compromising member of the ehl-i Sunnah in such topics related to the Doctrines and Theology as the Existence and Unity of Allah, miracles, marvels, the appointed hour of death, and death itself. He is a good follower of Ibn Arabi in such fundamental issues falling within the domain of Sufism as the Person (Zai), Names (Esma), and Attributes (Sifat) of Allah, the Truth of Muhammediyyah, existence and levels thereof, the Unity of Existence (vahdet-i vucud), Love and Affection. Again, the fact that he makes references to Mevlana, who is one of the eminent figures of the Sufi way, is a good indicator of his level of thinking. | tr_TR |

Sa'diyye, Mevleviyye ve Şâziliyye tarikaüarmdan icazet ve halifelikler almıştır. Aynı zamanda mesnevîhan olan Mehmed Elif Efendi, 1907-1911 yıllan arasında Meclis-i Meşâyih başkanlığını da yürütmüştür. Şâir ve hattatlığının yanı sıra, tekkenin planlarım çizecek kadar mimari bilgiye de sahip olan Elif Efendi, bütün hayatım eğitim ve öğretimle geçirmiş; Arap grameri ve Mantıktan, Darwin nazariyesine kadar çeşitli konularda birçok eser kaleme almıştır. Elif Efendi, daha çocukluk yıllarından itibaren Arapça, Farsça, Tefsir, Hadis, Tasavvuf, Kelam, Mantık gibi birçok alanda iyi bir medrese eğitimi görmüştür. Ayrıca, yaşadığı dönemin tanınmış hocalarının özel derslerine katılarak icazetler almıştır. Henüz otuz yaşında Hasırîzâde Dergâhı'na postnişîn olmuş; bu görevini, tekkelerin kapatılış tarihi olan 1925 yılma kadar, yaklaşık kırk beş yıl yürütmüştür. O, şeyhliği süresince, başta Mesnevi olmak üzere Fusûs, Fûtûhât, Şemail gibi önemli eserleri, Hadis ve diğer dinî ilimleri okutarak birçok talebe yetiştirmiştir. Onun şeyhliği süresince Hasırîzâde Tekkesi zengin bir kültür hayatına sahne olmuş, devlet adamlarından, sanatçılardan, ilim adamlarından ve halktan pek çok kimse, onun sohbetlerine katılmışlardır. Elif Efendi, Divân ve en-Nehcü 'l-kavîm dışındaki eserlerini mensur olarak kaleme almıştır. Mensur veya manzum şekilde yazılmış eserleri, o dönemin kullanılan dil özelliklerini damıtmaktadır. Aynı zamanda, yaşadığı dönemin dinî, tarihî ve sosyal olaylarına da ışık tatmaktadır. O, Osmanlı toplumunun ve bütün îslâm dünyasının her alanda durakladığı bir dönemde yetişmiş kuvvetli bir mutasavvıf ve mütefekkirdir. Bunun yarımda, edebî yönü ve şâir kimliğiyle de kültür tarihimizde temayüz etmiştir. Elif Efendi, Allah'ın varlığı ve birliği, mucize, keramet, ecel ve ölüm gibi daha çok Akâid ve Kelâma ilişkin konularda tavizsiz bir ehl-i sünnet mensubudur. Allah'ın zâtı, esması ve sıfatlan, hakîkat-ı Muhammediyye, varlık ve mertebeleri, vahdet-i vücûd, aşk ve muhabbet gibi tasavvuf düşüncesi alanına giren temel konularda ise iyi bir îbn Arabî takipçisidir. Yine, tasavvuf düşüncesinin önemli simalarından olan Mevlânâ'ya da sıkça atıflarda bulunarak fikirlerini zikretmesi, onun tefekkür boyutunu göstermektedir. 359 | tr_TR |
