Item A new analysis of astrophysical S-factor from the experimental dataAMAR, A. ; BURTEBAYEV, N.Measurements of the 6Li(p,)7Be reaction -ray angular distributions have been done at beam energies of Ep, lab. = 387, 690, 984 and 1283 keV for the -ray transitions to the ground and first excited (1/2-, 429 keV) states in 7Be. cross section of the 6Li (p, y)7Be reaction was calculated in the framework of the direct capture in the potential model using Fresco program. Spectroscopic factors of 7Be and astrophysical S-factor 6Li+p→7Be+y have been extracted from the experimental data available.Item The depleted uranium (DU) awareness for forensic science practices and risk analysisSEYHAN, E.Depleted uranium (DU) came to the fore with its permanent health problems on human after the Kosova and Gulf War. The reason for the rise of congenital defected births and cancers was declared as the use of depleted uranium. Therefore there is a strong need to create awareness for the risks created by depleted uranium munitions usage which might have long period effects as lasting centuries. To take the necessary precautions in the crime scene for nuclear, biological, chemical and physical dangers is the primary responsibility of crime scene officers and all the investigators. But compromising procedures and educating personnel for the awareness are the liability of institutions.Item On partition of the excitation energy between the fission fragments in spontaneous fission of 252CfKOURMO, M.; AHMADOV, H.M. ; KOÇ, R.;In this work the correlation has been investigated between the neutron numbers and average excitation energies for the complementary fission fragments in the spontaneous fission of 252Cf. The results of the experimental work on the average neutron number, total kinetic energy distribution of the pair of fragments, and the average energies of neutrons and gamma quanta emitted from the fission fragments are used. Calculated results are compared with the results of the other calculations and measurements.Item Calculation of double – differential cross sections for proton impact alpha emission at 62 MeVSARPÜN, İ.H. ; ÜNAL, R. ; YALIM, H.A. ; AYDİN, A. ; KAPLAN, A.This study reports on double–differential alpha emission cross sections for 16O, 27Al, 54,56Fe, 60Ni, 80Y, 120Sn, 197Au, 208Pb and 209Bi target nuclei with the TALYS code at 62 MeV proton energy. The calculations involved the pre-equilibrium exciton model and the Hauser-Feshbach model within TALYS code. The calculated results were compared with the experimental data taken from the literature. The results are in good agreement.
