    Bu tez çalışmasında salisilaldehitin (C7H6O2) o-hidroksianilin (C6H7NO) ve etanol amin (C2H7NO) ile olan reaksiyonundan ligant olarak kullanılan C11H11NO2, C9H11NO2 Schiff bazları ve bu Schiff bazlarının fenilboronik asit (C6H7O2B) ve borik asit (H3BO3) ile olan reaksiyonlarından da fenildibenzo[d,h]-6aza-1,3,2-dioxaboracyclono-6-ene (C19H14NO2B) (B1), (C26H18N2O5B2) (B4), m-oxo-[bis [m-[(2-hydroxy-kO) ethyl] imine-kN]-methylphenolate-(2-)-kO] diboron (C18H18N2O5B2) (B5) Schiff bazı-bor kompleksleri sentezlendi. Sentezlenen Schiff bazı-bor komlekslerinin dimetilformamit (DMF)’deki çözeltileri (1x10-4 M) tetrabütilamonyum hekzaflorofosfat (C16H36F6NP) beraberinde (7:3) kullanılarak metal yüzeylerine (ST-42 çeliği, Cu, Ni) kronoamperometri (CA) tekniği ile kaplandı. Kaplı metallerin elektrokimyasal özellikleri kaplı olmayan metallerle karşılaştırmalı olarak 0,5 M NaCl çözeltisinde açık devre potansiyeli (OCP), lineer taramalı voltametri (LSV) ve tafel ekstrapolasyonu (TAFEL) ile incelendi. Ayrıca yapılan elektrokimyasal kaplama Cu metali için x- ışınları difraksiyonu (XRD) ve atomik kuvvet mikroskobu (AFM) ile de gösterildi. AbstractIn this thesis, firstly, C11H11NO2, C9H11NO2 schiff bases using as a ligant were synthesized by reaction of salicylaldehyde (C7H6O2) o-hydroxyaniline (C6H7NO) with ethanolamine (C2H7NO). And then schiff fenildibenzo[d,h]-6aza-1,3,2-dioxaboracyclono-6-ene (B1), (B4), m-oxo-[bis [m-[(2-hydroxy-kO) ethyl] imine-kN]-methylphenolate-(2-)-kO] diboron (B5) schiff base-boron complexes were synthesized by reaction of phenyl boronic acid and boric acid with these schiff bases and characterized. Synthesized schiff base-boron complexes were coated on metal surfaces (ST-42 steel, Cu, Ni) using chronoamperometric technique in DMF solution (1x10-4 M) containing supporting electrolyte tetrabutylammonium hexafluorophosphate (C16H36F6NP). Electrochemical behaviors of coated and uncoated metals were investigated using open circuit potential (OCP), linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) and tafel exptrapolation (TAFEL) techniques in 0.5 M NaCl solution. Morover electrochemical coating for copper was indicated by X- ray difractometry and atomic force microscope(AFM).
