    Kamu ilk ve orta öğretim okullarında çalışan öğretmenlerin özlük haklarını bilme ve kullanma düzeyleri (Mersin ili Tarsus ilçesi örneği)

    In this research it is aimed to determine the level of teachers? being aware of and using their rights. The study group of this research comprises of 251 primaryschool teacher and 140 high school teacher working in Tarsus, Mersin. Teachers? Level of Being Aware Of and Using Their Rights Scale was applied. The results were analyzed with the software of SPSS 13.0.Teachers? level of being aware of their rights is above the average. Male teachers are better than female teachers about being aware of their rights. There has not been found any variation according to school classification and teachers? being a member of a teacher union. Teachers working 11 years or more are better in being aware of their rights than other teachers. When the educational level of teachers increase their level of being aware of their rights increase.Teachers taking part in research sometimes use most of their rights. They never use their ?vacation right without salary?. Teachers working in primary schools use their rights a higher level than other teachers. Teachers who are a member of a trade union use their financial rights much more than other teachers. All the teachers sometimes use their protection rights. Teachers working less than 11 years use social rights much more than other teachers.
