    In our thesis, named as ?The Importance of Sociocultural Factors In War?, the value of applied anthropology, the subhead of social anthropology, is emphasized. Applied anthropology means, using this science, determination, evaluation and solution of all manner of communal trouble.?Chrysanthemun and The Sword?, Ruth Benedict?s effective study in those years, is the best reference for operative usage of in war, one of the application fields of social anthropology. In our thesis, starting from this study in II. World War, it is generalized that anthropology has a very important, efficient and by aid of others examples stil has a very current technique.In all fields, social anthropology could be profited by, as understood from the examples in the study. Especially it must be used in the sector, which in human factor is effective. In the ahead of these is coming armies, which working by human, also battle against human. It is openly appeared that social anthropology will be efficient in conventional wars and especially insurgencies, figting against the terrorism.Anthropology, especially social anthropology, by showing possible of different life styles, made a positive effect to social studies, enlarged the social sciences scope. It is on the way of to be a favorite and profited science branch, it is seen that antropology is given very important references, when looked at social secience?s texts.
