    Description of Nursing as a Profession and the Effect of l Gender Role on NursingProfessionGender roles teach and internalize to man and woman during socialization process.Social constructs provide proper conditions in order reproduction of these roles.These constructs which make to accept different social roles for man and womanas making it natural with biology are male dominant.Modernism period which highlights individual freedom and equality have notsucceed in fulfillment of this claim for female/male equality. Gender roles areproduced special to term and gender discrimination continues for women who canwork public area.Nursing is a profession which brings about in modern ages. It is claimed thatwomen are proper for doing this profession as a woman is a mother. But, mothersacrifice is waited for job life the definition of profession is continuouslystretching. Nurses, because of the discrimination of gender roles, are suppressedand generally exploited in the light of daily working conditions.
