Nadir görülen düşük ayak nedeni: yaban domuzu ısırığı

Abstract

Derin ve yüzeyel dalları olan peroneal sinirin derin dalı bacak ön kompartmanında bulunan ayak ana dorsifleksörlerini inerve etmektedir. Bu nedenle peroneal sinir hasarına bağlı olarak düşük ayak tablosu meydana gelebilmektedir. Peroneal sinir hasarı nedenleri arasında künt ya da delici travmalar, kompresyon, traksiyon ve fokal iskemi bulunmakta nadir görülen bir diğer neden ise hayvan ısırıklarıdır. Literatürde kedi, köpek, fok ısırığı nedenli izole düşük ayak tablosu mevcut olmasına rağmen yaban domuzu saldırısına bağlı düşük ayak tablosu daha önce bildirilmemiştir. Bu olgu sunumunda kliniğimize domuz ısırması nedeni ile başvuran ve düşük ayak tanısı alan nadir bir olgu anlatılmaktadır.

The deep branch of the common peroneal nerve, which has both deep and superficial branches, innervates the main dorsiflexors of the foot located in the anterior compartment of the leg. Therefore, a drop foot condition may occur due to peroneal nerve damage. The causes of peroneal nerve damage include blunt or penetrating trauma, compression, traction, and focal ischemia. Another rare cause is animal bites, although isolated cases of drop foot due to cat, dog, and seal bites have been reported in the literature, wild boar bites have not been reported before. This case report describes a rare case of a patient who presented to our clinic with a diagnosis of drop foot due to a wild boar bite.
