| dc.description.abstract | Allium L. (Amaryllidaceae) dünyada 900, ülkemizde ise 200 civarında takson ile temsil edilen, Monokotil grubunun en büyük cinslerinden biridir. Bu cinse ait pek çok tür gıda, baharat ve süs bitkisi olarak kullanımlarının yanı sıra, tıbbi açıdan da son derece önemlidir. Soğanlı bitkileri içeren bu büyük cins Flora of Turkey and the East Aegean Islands'da 14 seksiyon altında incelenmektedir. Tez çalışması, 2014‒2018 yılları arasında Brevispatha Valsecchi (Cupanioscordum Cheschmejiyev) seksiyonununda yer alan ve Türkiye'de doğal olarak yetişen bitkiler üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda bilim dünyası için yeni dört tür (A. coskunii, A. tankeriorum, A. hatayense, A. ovacikense), yeni bir seksiyon (sect. Callimischon) tanımlanmış ve bir tür (A. peroninianum Azn.) sinonim olarak kabul edilmiştir. İlgili türler için kalitatif fitokimyasal analiz, filogenetik, katı faz mikroekstraksiyon (KFME), antikanser, tohum-polen morfolojisi, yaprak-skapus anatomisi çalışma sonuçları ayrıntılı bir şekilde verilmiş; ayrıca yeniden oluşturulan tür teşhis anahtarı ve tür deskripsiyonları ayrıntılı morfolojik çizimler eşliğinde sunulmuştur. | tr_TR |

| dc.description.ozet | Allium L. (Amaryllidaceae) is one of the largest genera of Monocotyledons; it is represented by more than 900 species in the world and approximately 200 in Turkey. Several Allium species are very important due to their usages as food, spice, ornamental plants and also as medicinal plants. This large genus of bulbous plants has been investigated under 14 sections in the "Flora of Turkey and the East Aegean Islands". This study was carried out between 2014-2018 on plants belonging to the sect. Brevispatha Valsecchi (Cupanioscordum Cheschmejiyev) naturally growing in Turkey. As a result of this study, four new species (A. coskunii, A. tankeriorum, A. hatayense, A. ovacikense), a new section (sect. Callimischon) were defined and introduced to the scientific literature and a species (A. peroninianum) was accepted as synonym. The results of qualitative phytochemical analysis, phylogenetical, solid phase microextraction (SPME), anticancer activity, seed-pollen morphology, leaf-scapus anatomy studies conducted on related species were presented in detail.
