Xunzi was a thinker who lived in China at the end of the Warring States period (480 / 403- 222 BC). There are not many resources about his life. His ideas are compilled in a work that bears his name, Xunzi. This work has been published by different researchers throughout the history, and its surviving copy was compilled in Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907). Xunzi is known for his theory of "Human Nature is Bad". However, his theory about human nature represents only a part of his thoughts. He sought solutions to the problems of the social and political life of his time. The "management theory" that he put forward in the search of the solutions to these problems constitutes his main system of thoughts. It is a system in which 'rituals' and 'law' work together. This study offers a perspective for the correct understanding of this system. In this study, the characteristics of rituals have been explained and the basis and purpose of the rituals were researched. The transformation into an 'objectivated' structure of the ritual system has been emphasized. In order to enlighten the idea of law, the relationship between rituals and law has been clarified and his ideas about the characteristics of the law have been researched. To be able to understand the importance of law in his political system, the relationship between man, rituals, and law has been investigated. As a result of these studies, the answers have been researched to the questions of whether morality comes from outside in Xunzi's thought and what kind of a character his understanding of law has and whether he provides unlimited authority to the human/ruler.tr_TR
