Staphylococci are among the most important agents for hospital and community- acquired infections. While, S. aureus was accepted as the only agent for hospital- acquired infections in the past, nowadays, importance of CNS have been begun to increase. In this study, we analysed the slime formation capability and eefects of antibiotic on slime formating Staphylococci isolated from various clinical specimens. In our study, a total of 100 strains were taken The Lokman Hekim Hospital and Etlik İhtisas Pedagogy and Research Hospital in 2011 year. These strains are 58 CNS and 42 S. aureus. We determine slime forming strains of Staphylococci with CRA method. Total of 58 CNS strains 17 (% 29,3) slime positive, 42 S. aureus strains 20 (% 47,6) slime positive were determined. Of slime positive strains were isolated from 14 (% 33,3 ) blood, 4 (% 28,5) injury, 5 (% 29,4) urine, 9 (% 45) ear, 2 (% 100) trachea, 2 (100) sputum, 1 (% 100) joint liquid. Slime positive and negative strains were researched to antibiotic resistant with Kirby- Bauer method. Acoording to, in this study at slime positive strains oxacilin resistance are higher than slime negative strains. The most oxacilin resistanece is at slime positive CNS (% 94,11). Ciprofloxacin, ofloxacin, eritromicin, ampicilin, penicilin, cefazolin, oxacilin, rifampicin resistance at slime positive strains are higher. At slime positive and negative S. aureus strains resistance sulbactam ampicilin are smilar but at slime positive CNS strains are lower than slime negative CNS.tr_TR

Slime pozitif olan bakterilerin 14' ü (% 33,3) kan, 4' ü (% 28,5) yara, 5' i (29,4) idrar, 9' u (% 45) kulak, 2' si (100) trakeal, 2' si (100) balgam, 1' i (100) eklem sıvısı' ndan izole edildi.
