Han Dönemi ve Wang Mang reformları
The Han Dynasty has a very important place in Chinese history. In this period there were great economic, cultural, and social progresses in China. The Han Dynasty, the sovereignity of which had continued for at least 400 years, was interrupted by the Xin Dynasty of Wang Mang from 9-23 C.E. Due to that, some historians separate the Han Dynasty into two periods: the Western and the Eastern Han. The person, having caused this separation, was Wang Mang, who proclaimed his empire between AD 9–23. After proclaiming his emperorship Wang Mang changed the name of his dynasty as "Xin (新) Dynasty". Wang Mang also made many economic and political reforms. These reforms were land, slavery, administrative, currency, changes of name, and measurement units reforms all of which were failed. The failure the reforms caused the riots. As a result of the rebellions, Wang Mang's reign ended. The period after Wang Mang's Xin Dynasty is called the Eastern Han Dynasty.
