The aim of this research is to evaluate training programmes carried out by the Disaster and Emergency Training Centre according to the views of the participants. In this context, "Training of Trainers in Disaster Awareness for Individual and Family" which is organized as part of Individual/Family Disaster Preparedness Campaign has been chosen as the subject of this research. This research has been carried out so as to determine the socio-demographic characteristics of adults involved in "Training of Trainers in Disaster Awareness for Individual and Family", the views of the participants with respect to the key elements of training programmes (object, content, teaching-learning process and assessment-evaluation process) and whether these views vary depending on gender, educational status and occupational experience factors. The quantitative research technique is adopted in this research. The research is a descriptive study is screening model. The working group of the research includes 577 adult learners participating in "Training of Trainers in Disaster Awareness for Individual and Family" carried out by AFADEM. The data obtained is analysed in IBM SPSS 23.0 packaged software by using frequency (f), percentage (%), arithmetic average, standard deviation, Levene's test, T-test and Anova Test. The findings show that the training programme called "Training of Trainers in Disaster Awareness for Individual and Family" has positive sides along with problems and inadequacies. It is seen that the object of "Training of Trainers in Disaster Awareness for Individual and Family" does not correspond to the expectations of the participants, the content of the training programme does not measure up to the training requirements of the participants and the participants do not find the content up-to-date and interesting. It has been found out that, despite usually getting positive reactions during training -education process and evaluation phase, instruction method was highly used in lessons and the views of the participants were not taken into consideration at the end of the training. While the learner-instructor interaction is deemed to be satisfactory, physical environment in places where the training was held falls short of the expectations of the participants. It has been ascertained that gender, educational status and occupational experience factors of the participants do not make any difference in their views about the key elements of the training programme, "Training of Trainers in Disaster Awareness for Individual and Family".
