Müze eğitimi alanında yapılmış olan lisansüstü tezlerin ve bitirme projelerinin belirlenen ölçütlere göre incelenmesi
With this research, graduate, postgraduate theses and master degree projects without theses related with museum education are searched due to certain criteria by using literature scanning. Besides, research versus years and subjects, data collection means, searching models, key groups, museums in hand and researches done by universities and also their related institutes are taken into account.Theses sent to YOK National Thesis Center and data obtained through post graduate Projects without theses are searched, grouped, evaluated and tabulated.Research and proposals in this study group were reviewed with qualitative assessment assessments.Attained results stated below.In this case study 74 researches are included and 59 of them are post graduate theses, 10 entries of them are postgraduate projects without theses and 5 of them are doctorate theses.Especially since 1998, the number of graduate theses, master degree projects without theses and postgraduate theses has increased. Most of the research is done in 2007, 2006 and 2008.Most of the postgraduate degree theses belong to Ankara University. When post graduate thesis and graduate theses are covered, it can be seen that most of the research are done in Ankara University and most of the master degree projects without theses are belong to Ankara University. Only master degree theses can be found in Yıldız Technical University. On the other hand in Gazi University, only post graduate and master degree theses can be found.When research related with institutes and departments are examined, it can be seen that mainly museology and museum education disciplines of social science institutes have the highest rank.When the research analyzed with topics, it can be seen that education program of museums and project design are the most used topics. The main topics can be listed as ?Applications at Museum Education (Primary and Secondary Schools)?, Sample Museum investigations and evaluations related with their collections?, ?Research related with museums in terms of museums versus Community Relations and Public Education Evaluations?, ?research related with museum education in terms of Elementary School Lectures? .To be able to get data in these studies, mostly questionnaire forms were used.When each one of three researches study group was examined, it was discovered that mostly figurative scanning model was used.In these studies mainly primary school students were chosen. Furthermore it was found out that the least chosen group was the preschool children as study group.The most attention was given to the archeology museums and it is also determined that ethnography and history, education and art museums are mainly getting attention for theses topics.Studying the projects of master degree programs with/out thesis and Ph.D. thesis, the practices in the scope of museum education, level of development, activities in our country, present situation, plans for education-programs-projects and their applications are discussed by concerning communication, needs, insufficiency and expectations of official and private museums. This improves the progress, gets positive contribution for the studies in the field of museum education.Contemporary museum concepts are embraced by some of the public museums in our country and charitable foundation museums. Studies display the contribution to progress which is cooperated by education associations, by preparing education programs and education environments. But these applications are not widely distributed and not enough.Depending on National Education Ministry of Education programs museum applications of education foundations are restricted to lecture hours and special memorial days. It is also detected that possibilities of foundations, administrations? affinity to this subject, the lack of enough museum education background of teachers and basic facilities are detected as negative situations. Even though these are evident, they are accepted to make museum education studies at schools by using different education methodologies.Research about this subject shows that museums are visited mostly by student groups, even though visitors from every age group is being tend to do homework and research.Special memorial and visits on special days and celebration days and also visits with families have an important part.There is a good agreement between high education level and good revenue of people with getting high frequency visit of the museums. However facilities given by the museums are also important they are varieties and abundances of education programs, arrival possibilities etc. With these subjects, it is important that museums should investigate visitor profiles, serving guidance and effort to serve good communication with people and museums and this must be taken into consideration that it is worth for improving the museum education and its consequences.1.Ascertainments which take place in inquire offered for the study groups must be taken into account. The abovementioned museums should be analyzed in the means of how much of the offers have been applied should be down and assessed.2.Postgraduate theses must be done with pre- and post-test control groups which have experimental design models. Programs and project designs must be tested and positive results should be introduced to education associations.3.Hereafter, research primarily about preschool and other different groups must be put center of investigations.
