In this study is searched the hegemonic discourse in Turkey with the press tool its ?East? Orientalist gaze in the context of how the Kurdish problem is perceived and described today regarding Dağlıca raid, which is envisaged representative character. Basic argument of this study the Kurdish problem, which is the problem ethnic identity, is shaped via breaking to have taken place between East and West Turkey's modernization process by the hegemonic discourse. The hegemony articulates in equivalence relation demands the social community against the Kurd, which is established as "other? due to the image of the East. The ideology plays important role the articulation. The hegemony and ideology is basis important two of theoretical framework, which makes possible argument of this study.The study is investigated location of the press, which is selected the researching unit. The press is shown the Kurdish problem signification opposition from East-West and exclusion the problem of social content ethno-political; as a result, embraces the style of thinking and reasoning of hegemonic perspective of the Kemalist ideology, which is the hegemonic power in Turkey, and the hegemony of ideological production and reproduction to be important ideological device.However, the Kurdish problem is shown to be comprehended as the problem of being Oriental and is immobilized and is imprisoned in ?frame of Oriental", which is created understanding "not be modern or pre-modern be?, regarding continuity as well as state of failure in the press in the process of Dağlıca raid. The study is exposured timid and angry look to out from "within the frame" in this process, when the Kurdish problem is see the difficulty in fitting into the frame.
