With this help and the achievement, all Romas support Augustus whobring safety, prosperity and peace with gods. In 12 B.C., he became PontifexMaximus as a leader of Pontiff College. This title allows emperor to control all thereligious institutions. Beside this, he restore all the temple of his ancestors, he builtsome new temples to his gods, sacrifice animals, organize festivals to gods. Whenreligion became a picture and journal, emperor puts himself on the center of themto be a model to his people. He encourages young people, to whom he wants toinfluence particularly, to enter religious institutions and ritual ceremonies. Theother group, whom he wanted to influence, was the people who lived in poor districtof Rome. Those people had a potential to revolt. Because of this, emperor put themas a official inside the temples, which was built on the corner of the each district, tocommission all the ceremonies. His religious propaganda and political propaganda,can be seen all his architecture, literature and coins. All the work of art that stressedhis piety, help of god and the quality of emperor as a savior, had a message toRomans. If they want safety, peace and prosperity they had to embrace RomanReligions as their emperor did.
