1SUMMARYA Research of Trichomonas vaginalis On Women Who Have Vaginal ComplainsT. vaginalis is a flagellated protozoon living in urogenital system of human. It causestrichomoniasis.T. vaginalis shows cosmopolitan dispersion in the world. Enfectious widespreadchanges from communitie?s living way to social and cultural form. Enfectious incidence is10-25% in women and 5% in men. In our country 3-50% Trichomoniasis informed inwomen who have vaginal dischange. It cannot be possible determine the incidence of T.vaginalis for all regions.The aim of the researching of T. vaginalis on women with vaginal complainsgynecology policlinic in Health Ministry Ankara Maternity Hospital and Women DiseasesHospital in October-November-December 2004. In this way we reached 150 women havevaginal complains and 20 women have no complains for three months. In the study toresearch prevalance of T. vaginalis, a patient information form is used that includes personalinformations, person?s educations, hygiene conditions, person?s birth control ways andvaginal complains.Gynecological inspection made for 170 person. Direct microskobic examination,Giemsa stained examination and culture in CPLM medium were used to examine the vaginaldischange samples. T. vaginalis wasn?t found in 20 person who came for control. T.vaginalis was present in 9 of 150 person (6%) who have different vaginal complains. G.vaginalis an Candida weren?t found in person who have T. vaginalis.According to statistical appraise; There is no meaningful relation was found betweenT. vaginalis and patient?s ages, period of vaginal complains. Although percentage of T.vaginalis is high in housewifes, mary women, women graduated from primary school,women use squat toilet and women live in places that have low icome state. Ki-khare testcouldn?t be used because of the low values.In the diagnosis of T. vaginalis not only the direct microskobic and stainedexamination but also the culture methods increase the reliability of the result.In many studies when T. vaginalis wasn?t seen in direct microskobic examination.
