Abstract
The purpose of this study is to be determine the effect of computer-assistedhumor on the academic achivement and the students attitudes towards physics course.The research was carried out according to the experimental research model which isbased on the pre test and end test control groups. This research is materialized with 2610th grade students in physics lesson who have been attending the science high schoolwithin the first term of 2005-2006 academic year. Research is conducted both with theexperimental group and the control group in which the traditional physics education isapplied while the physics education is improved with the computer-assisted educationwith sense of humor with the experimental group. Throughout the experiment, cartoonsand cartoons speeches, which were developed by the researcher, have been applied tothe experimental group.The data of the research was collected by using achivement test developed for theunits ? Motion? and ? Dynamics? and attitude scale towards pyscics course. The datawas analyzed using SPSS. All the pre test and end test of the achivement test and theattitude scale of the group are compared with the t test. Meanwhile, the meaning of thedifferences of the end test of the groups when the pre test are under control is examinedthruogh the usage of ANCOVA analyzes.As a result of the findings, that have obtained at the end of the research showsthat the students in the experimental groups, who have been taught physics with thecomputer-assisted education with the sense of humor, have received better scores bothin the achivement test and in the attitude scale test than the student who took place inthe control group and who have been taught physics according to the traditionalmethods.
