Determination Of Social Work Students' Working With Elderly as Clients and Attitudes Towards Elderly. The research aims to determine how the social work students work with elderly and their attitudes to elderly. The population of the study consisted of the 1st and 4th grade students who attend part in training and education in Ankara University and Başkent University's Department of Social Work. This study targeted to reach all of the 1st and 4th grade social services students who can not be selected as sample and reached 146 students. Research in the social services department students of the socio-demographic aging concepts with questions designed to determine the characteristics, experiences and the experiences they have with elderly clients in applications to live with elderly people, feelings and behavior for the elderly, a questionnaire that includes questions for the training they receive in working with the elderly applicants (Özdemir, 2009), and students with the aim to identify positive and negative attitudes towards the elderly against Kogan Attitudes Toward Old People Scale Turkish Form (Kılıç and Adıbelli (2011) was adapted to Turkish by) is used. In the study that is determined that students' Kogan Attitudes Toward Old People Scale mean score was 88.14 and standard deviation was 1.38 and attitudes were positive because attitude scores was positive, and students found insufficient work programs with the elders in social work education and training. 36.3% of the students worked with the elderly in field applications, 62.3% of them did not work and 41.1% of the students are willing to work with the elderly after graduating and 58.9% of them are not willing. Class students studying level of the research increases are determined to have more positive attitudes toward the elderly. The findings are in line; gerontological social services that course of arranging / increasing, the development of issues related to aging in the course content, increasing the possibilities of working with elderly clients in the areas of application, students can cause the media's attitude to the formation of negative perceptions of old age, encouraged to develop existing applications and to conduct research on policies and projects for the elderly not be, on the factors influencing students' attitudes towards old age is advisable to undertake more detailed qualitative studies.
