İlköğretim 6. sınıf matematik dersi sayılar öğrenme alanı için bilişsel hazırbulunuşluk testinin geliştirilmesi
Özet
In this study, it is aimed to develop a readiness test in order to determine the readiness level of the 6th class students of the primary education in the learning domain of numbers in Mathematics lesson; and also to present the psychometric features of the developed measurement tool.First of all, critical gains belonging to the former classes, which may constitute a base for the gains of the learning domain in Mathematics Lesson of 6th Class, have been identified in accordance with the opinions of the experts. The topics identified for the determined critical gains have been submitted to the knowledge of the experts and two equivalent trial forms each consisting of 29 items. The first form and the second form of the trial application of the test have been applied on 162 students of 5th Class of the same elementary school every other day. The main form consisting of 30 items has been prepared choosing the more qualified item between the two items in order to measure the gain as a result of the analyses made on the data obtained in the trial application. The main application has been made on 339 students in 5th classes of 4 public elementary schools in Yenimahalle and Cankaya Districts. The statistics of the items have been calculated with the obtained data and low distinguishable items have been observed in the main form. The distinguishability of the items included in the main form varied in the interval of .49 and .92 and their difficulty coefficient varied between .24 and .75. the main form was applied on 221 4th Class students and 203 6th Class students besides the 5th Class students in order to assess the validity the measurement tool. The difference between the test points of the three groups was meaningful as a result of the analyses made. The difference between the groups was studied as a proof to the structural validity of the test; and the difference was found to be meaningful.Test halving method has been used while determining the reliability of the measurement tool and the correlation between the two halves of the test has been calculated as .87. the reliability coefficient for the whole test was calculated as .93. In addition, the reliability coefficient of KR 20 of the test was calculated as .92. The findings of the study show that the tool is valid and reliable.
