In the new process that started with the end of Cold War period, Caucasian regions is in the agenda of the world due to their geopolitical location and civil conflicts. From this period, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia began to be referred as the South Caucasus region, while the lands remaining under the control of Russia referred as the North Caucasus region. However Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia declared their independence after the collapse of the Soviet Union, they faced with serious problems. One of the most remarkable of these problems between Azerbaijan and Armenia over the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the other problems are Abkhazia and South Ossetia in Georgia. Solutions of these problems of threaten the territorial integrity of the countries, plays an important role in the determination of foreign policy. Each country has involved their own political affairs, government and President changes. Therefore, these changes in domestic politics is also reflected to foreign politics, deteriorate the stability in the solutions of problems. In this context, the South Caucasus countries implementation in the region and out of the region politics are decisiving about how to solve problems in these areas. In this thesis research argued that how countries in the region which they affect to development the policies of the current problems of the South Caucasus. Research analyzed with cause effect relationships. Purpose of a better understanding about reasoning of the problems and how problems emerged, it has investigated the recent political history of countries in the region.
