Ankilozan spondilitli hastalarda hastalık aktivitesinin uyku bozukluklarına etkisi
Özet
Sleep disturbances in patients with ankylosing spondilitis are common symptoms due to concomitant back pain, depression and anxiety. Our aim in our study in patients with ankylosing spondylitis, to evaluate disease activity score (BASDAI) and the functional score (BASFI) correlated to sleep quality. Sleep quality was assessed on many scales. Self report sleep quality tests are both economical and easy to apply. Our study used' Pittsburg Sleep Quality Index' (PSQI) that shows subjective sleep quality of last month for monitoring the quality of sleep. It will be an indirect indicator of therapeutic effectiveness according to sleep disturbances exist or not. Materials and Methods: Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, Rheumatology admitted to the AS 143 and 143 healthy volunteers was appliedPittburg Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). BASDAI , BASFI, ESR, CRP and HLA-B27 has been extracted patients' files. Results: The control group in terms of subjective sleep quality, sleep latency, sleep disturbance, daytime function total PSQI score was better although there is no differences in terms of age and gender. The patient characteristics compared BASDAI, BASFI,CRP, female sex, DMARD and/or NSAID theraphy , being married is statiscally associated more than 5 of PSQI scores that means sleep disturbances presence. Spearman correlation analysis demonstratesBASDAI, BASFI,CRP increase were positively correlated with sleep disturbances. Conclusion: The data showed that we have obtained; disease activity and other parameters that reflect disease activity, have a direct relationship with sleep disturbances.
