Türkiye sinemasında Dostoyevski yorumu
Özet
The core problem addressed in this thesis is to follow up principal themes and form of Russian writer Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoyevsky over Motherland Hotel (1997), Innocence (1997), Third Page (1999), Destiny (2006), Rıza (2007) and Milk (2008) movies of Turkish cinema and analyze how the same were used and created. Dostoyevskian meanings covered by the said movies are revealed through analyzing mimetic desire, underground tragedy, (in)visibility and pride hurt, parricide and carnivalistic, polyphony and poly-consciousness framework considered to be principal formal characteristics.The study reveals that the writer?s principal themes and formal characteristics are sometimes implicit and sometimes explicit in these movies of the directors who declared to be inspired by Dostoyevsky; and how such themes and forms take shape through narrative possibilities of cinema. Having analyzed the movies, it was concluded that there was a Dostoyevskian effect on Turkish cinema and such effects determined the discourse and narration of the movies.
