Sahra altı Afrikansı'nda yapılan özelleştirmeler ve eğitim kalitesi /
Özet
The paper is about the effect of privatization of education in Sub Sahara Africa and the main objective of this study is to investigate the impact of privatization of education on quality of education and provide recommendations based on the findings. Despite the many importance and advantages of private education in Sub Sahara Africa it has some disadvantages and weaknesses that need attention. Currently private education in SSA needs extra degree of control and regulation over all teaching learning process including the curricula and qualification of teachers. An effective regulation will be very much difficult if there is no any contract between education providers and government authorities. It is observed that privatization always occurs by lucky and for investment strategies rather than a deliberate mission. For this matter privatization of education should have predetermined polices from the side of the government regarding the access and the equity of education. Education policies weight the problem, most current polices of the region need amendment, and furthermore new appropriate policies must be developed and adopted.
