Abstract

Ahmed Ağaoğlu was bom in a family who likes science and scientists in Şuşa, the town of Karabağ in Azerbaijan in the year of 1869. Ağaoğlu began his education life in the town school; than he continued Russian Tali School and Realne Uçilişe. After that, Ağaoğlu, who went to Paris for an advanced learning, studied language, history and law there. Ağaoğlu whose ideas took form thanks to the worldly famous scientists started to write essays for some magazines and newspapers when he was only 21. soon after Ağaoğlu who turned back to Azerbaijan did many activities for the independence in society. He immigrated to Turkey in 1908, when the pressure on him became to increase as a result of his works. Ahmed Ağaoğlu worked for many magazines and newspapers and wrote innumerable essays after he came to Istanbul. Beside this, he prepaired reports in order to make some points that are not adequate clear. He conveyed his report that explains the mistakes of the education between 1910-1911 to the authorities in Istanbul. He also prepared a report that is written to show the greatness of the number of foreign schools and the students studying at these schools on Turkish country at that term and he presented this report. Ağaoğlu is for presenting a national education in order to grow our children in the way we want And also Ağaoğlu, mentioning especially the lack of the schools' education, teachers' educating materials, is for removing these deficiencies. He is for teaching and education religion definately. He is for giving this education first in family; then in schools and in Mosques. 155
