Özet
The aim of this work is to argue the meaning of the political regime change for the broadcasting policy. The work also aims to explain how the broadcasting and audience policies were designed during the socialist and the post-socialist period in Hungary.The transformation of the audience policies is discussed with theories that represent the relationship between political system and television while grounded with critical political economy approach.In this respect, these arguments are examined through Hungary?s leading socialist, democratic and liberal broadcasting actors, their political approaches, the social changes and the regulations oriented towards these changes, program guides and program formats. It presents transformation of broadcasting policy with its close connection with transformation of political regimes.
