The main purpose of this research is to examine technology literacy education in adult education in Lithuania. In the era of the arousal of technology, has significant effects to the life styles also in the education. In this study, especially the experiences of Lithuania are presented. The process starting from the country's inclusion to the European Union in 2004 until today (2020) has been investigated. In this context, the general situation of technology literacy for adults in Lithuania; the institutions where adult education is provided are examined in terms of content, qualifications of trainers and main demographic characteristics of the participants are examined. In addition, the main problems, opportunities and trends in education in the field of technology literacy for adults in Lithuania were investigated by interviewing experts in the field with 5 academicians. The qualitative approach method was used in the research to analyze the current situation in depth. Document analysis method was used. Semi-structured interviews were held with the experts and the results were thematically coded. According to the findings of the research, it has been revealed that the information and communication technology knowledge was provided to adults in order to be able to carry out their daily lives, to have a profession and to have basic knowledge about information and communication technologies. It has been observed that institutions that provide these trainings, libraries have an important place, in addition, lectures, seminars and events are held in museums, Third Age Universities and cultural centers. Workshops are held in order to keep users active in technology literacy and to ensure that they benefit from technology in a proper way. Considering the general characteristics of the students, undergraduate students, graduate students, teachers, Third Age University students, pensioners are studying in the field of technology literacy. Third Age Universities are becoming increasingly important for pensioners and adults. Postgraduate students who has degree on teacher education also give attention in the adult education category with technology literacy. Instructors who teach in the field of technology literacy work in universities, libraries and NGOs. In the interviews with the experts, the main problems encountered in the field of technology literacy in adult education in Lithuania with general headings; policy, lack of strategy (lack of coordination due to structural problems), exclusion of disadvantaged individuals and budget. Looking at the possibilities, national and international projects, programs and incentives at first place, followed by the technology infrastructure in Lithuania, public institutions and the incentives of the Ministry of Labor to gain digital literacy. Finally, the following three subjects came to the fore in adult technology literacy trends: Lifelong learning and the necessity of adult education, the increasing importance of new technologies in employment and the activities of NGOs. At the end of this research, suggestions on technology literacy in adult education are given based on the Lithuanian experience.
