Ana dili Türkçe olan ve olmayan okul öncesi dönem çocuklarının Türkçe erken okuryazarlık becerilerinin değerlendirilmesi

The purpose of this study is to compare and evaluate the Turkısh early literacy skills between native and non- native Turkish speaker preschoolers. This research is a quantitative study. The sample in this research is 80 preschoolers, half of them are native Turkish speakers others are non-native Turkish speakers are studying at schools and kindergartens in Gevas and Ipekyolu districts of the province of Van in 2015-2016 education year. Data were collected by a survey titled "Early Literacy Skills Assessment Tool". The Survey which compares native and non- native Turkish speaker preschoolers consists of 5 sub-tests with a total of 96 substances. Sub-tests are Phonological Awareness, Print Awareness, Story Comprehension, Matching Images and Pre-writing Skills. The Survey was applied to all children individually. The researcher was participated classroom activities and met children before applied the test. Collected data are transferred to the digital media by coding and analyzed by using the statistical program SPSS 20.0. In data analysis, independent sample t-test used for parametric test assumption and Mann-Whitney U test used for non parametric test assumption to compare the pre literacy skills between native and non native Turkish speaker preschoolers. According to data analysis; it was found that there is a statistically significant difference in favor of native Turkish preschoolers in Phonological Awareness Skill, Print Awareness, Story Comprehension, Matching Images and Pre writing Skills. Additionally, there was a significant difference between the point averages which was gained sub dimension of phonetic awareness subtest in favor of native Turkish speakers. (Significant difference was found in favor of native Turkish preschoolers in the phonological awareness skill sub-test, in terms of matching beginning sounds, matching the rhyming words, syllable and phoneme deletion, combining sounds and in subtitles of distinguishing beginning sounds of word; finding initial sounds of words, producing words beginning with stimulating sound, producing words beginning with same sound.
