Anababa tutumu, anababa-ergen ilişkisi ve öğrencilerde içsel güdülenmenin incelenmesi
Özet
This study aimed to examine parents' attitude, parents-adolescents' relationships, and students' intrinsic motivation. Participants for this research which has the characteristics of a descriptive survey model were 137 middle school students studying in 6 different schools in Gaziantep. Participants were given "Motivation in Education Scale", "Parents' Attitude Scale", "Parents-Adolescents' Relationships Scale" and a Personal Information Form prepared by the researcher. To test whether parents' attitude, parents-adolescents' relationships, and students' intrinsic motivation have any relationship among them, Pearson Correlation analysis was used. The findings showed that, parents' attitude and students' intrinsic motivation have a very low negative relationship (r= -.168; p< .05). However, the results demonstrated that parents-adolescents' relationships and students' intrinsic motivation have no relationship (r= .008; p> .05). Meanwhile, Pearson Correlation was used to evaluate the relationship between parents' attitude and parents-children relationships. The results showed a medium-level significant relationship between these two variables (r= .428; p< .01). Hereafter, to examine the sub-objectives t-test and ANOVA analysis were used. According to the findings, there is no significant difference between gender (Male & Female) for students' intrinsic motivation levels (t(135)=1.749; p>.05). In addition, no significant differences were found among their education's levels for intrinsic motivation (F(2-134)= 1.016; p>.05). The findings of the research examined by taking previous research carried out in this area in consideration. And finally, comments and suggestions were made for future research.
