El-Cahız'ın sünnet/hadis anlayışı

Abstract

el-Jâhız (Goggle-eyed) is one of the most famous person of Arabic Literature History. Denomination of "Mu'tezilah" that he belongs to, occured in Basra as a result of discussions in the Islamic society of the second century HegirafHijra). It was claimed that this school denied hadith and it was accepted as a beginning action by Sunnite (Orthodox) society. Howewer, sources of Mu'tazilite that published in 1950% put out the fact that, this opinion should be interrogated again. Also el-Jâhız, a Mu'tazilite scholar faced with these accusations. On the other hand, el-Jâhız who was born in Basra and who lived in Basra shared the same ideas with Orthodox scholars. He accepted devotion of Sunna as away of superiority and rightness; he accused people who refused Sunna definitely. In addition, he admired Hz. Muhammad and his companions and he expressed that Hz. Muhammad was the best person in the world el-Jâhız said that there wasn 't any wrong information in the news that many people mentioned and these types of news expressed correct information. He evaluated ideas of Hz. Muhammad by his literature identity and he expressed very valuable things. It isn 't said that el-Jâhız took place in hadith quoting actively. However he gave reasonable opinions about hadith criticism and hadith comprehension people who study hadith criticized el-Jâhız because of his satiry and joker behaviours. Moreover, el-Jâhız qualified some traditionalists with concept of "Haswiyya" that expresses a contemptuous meaning. Traces of el-Jâhız don't confirm the facts that ; he didn't give importance to hadith science, he ridiculed with hadiths, he didn't study rumour of hadith, he invented hadiths and he denied sunna and hadith. All of these ideas are arguments that are based unprejudiced interpretations of some traces that are against Mu'tazilah.
