The main goal of this study is to specify the relationships between jobsatisfaction, organizational commitment, state of participating in-service training andsome demographic variables. The model of the research is the model of relationshipsurvey. The study depends on the data gathered by applying a 116-question survey toa sample of 160. Job satisfaction and organizational questionaires were used in thestudy. Perceived job satisfaction questionaire?s and importance of job satisfactionquestionaire?s Cronbach alpha reliability coefficients are 0,93 and 0,94. Organizationalcommitment scale consists of three subscales. These are copliance, identification andinternalization. The cronbach alpha reliability coefficients of these subscales are 0,84,0,87 and 0,94. The data obtained were analyzed with SPSS programme.Some important results achieved from the study are: job satisfaction andorganizational commitment are affected by sex, marital status, rank, education andduty. It was found out that the job satisfaction level and organizational commitmentlevel of personel who have participated in-service training is not different from those ofpersonel who haven?t participated. That is, participating the training program does noteffect the job satisfaction level and organizational commitment level of personel.Moreover, the relationships between the the frequency of participation to the in-servicetraining and the level of job satisfaction and organizational commitment, and betweenparticipation to the in-service training in the last two years and the level of jobsatisfaction and organizational commitment were studied. It was observed that neitherparticipation frequency, nor participation in the last two years to the in-service trainingaffected the level of job satisfaction and organizational commitment of personel. Thereis a significant positive correlation between all dimensions of job satisfaction andcompliance dimension of organizational commitment and a significant negativecorrelation between all dimensions of job satisfaction and identification andinternalization dimensions of organizational commitment.
