Kırgız Türkçesinde bilgi kipliği: Delile dayananlar diğer bilgi kipliklerinin ilişkisi
Özet
This thesis, which is named "Epistemic Modality in Kirghiz Turkish: The Interaction with the Other Epistemic Modalities of Evidentials" consists of an introduction and three chapters. Introduction mentions modality, the boundaries and realizations of modality, epistemic modality, evidentiality, and types of evidentiality and the place of evidentiality in the modality. Epistemic modality represents that speaker perceived her/his own expressings as right and certain information or assumptive or deductive or evidential information. Evidentiality is an important part of the epistemic modality. Speaker can express the evidences of his/her proposition by using the evidential modality. These evidences can be perceptive, inferential or reportive ones. The mainly grammatical markers of evidentiality are inflectional markers. Also copula particles, enclitic particles and lexical vehicles can be the grammatical markers of evidentiality. In Kirghiz Turkish, the markers of evidentiality are (1) Inflectional markers: {-(I)p/-(U)p}, {-(I)ptIr/-(U)ptUr}, {-GAn/-GOn}, and {-At/-Ot/-yt} withefew and tura; (2) Copula particles: eken {beken with interrogative particle), imiş, tura, turbaybı; (3) Enclitic particles: go, da, bi (in beken, turbaybı); (4) Lexical vehicles. karasa, körsö, dese, dep tursa etc. These subjects are investigated in the first chapter. The second chapter brings the interactions with the other epistemic modalities of evidentials in Kirghiz Turkish. And the third chapter is interested in the other semantic connotations of the Kirghiz perceptive evidentials in context.
