1900 - 1930 yılları arasında Konya'da Türk Mimarisi
The study " Turkish Architecture in Konya Between 1900 - 1930 " defines a period of three decades in which social, political and economic alterations had taken place. Turkish Architecture in those years, was not merely an opposition to western reflections on Ottoman Architecture but in fact, developed as a consequence of Turkish Nationalism in 19th century under the European influence. Facades during this period reveals the prominent characteristics of the buildings. The facades were richly used with traditional decorative elements of Turkish Architecture. Further more, in addition to typical buildings, the special facades were also found in the structures designed according to the needs of social developments of that time. Besides Ankara and Istanbul, examples of the First National Turkish Architecture were seen in different cities of Anatolia, like Konya. In this study, building patterns between 1900 - 1930 were defined and the cases that could support the assesment of the architecture were examined. As a conclusion, Konya is found to be parallel to Istanbul and Ankara in architectural developments and it can be said that, the building patterns of Konya have an important place in the assesment of Turkish Architecture in 20th century.
