In this study, the relationship between, depression, interpersonal style, self perception and anger was investigated in people who are in depression. The sample of the study is formed by 64 depressive people and 71 non depressive normals. Depression, interpersonal style, self perception, mental wellbeing and anger was investigated. The assessment instruments were the Beck Depression Inventory, Interpersonal Style Scale, Social Comparison Scale, Multidimensional Anger Scale, and the Brief Symptom Inventory. The results revealed that the two groups significantly differed on the study variables, the patient group showing significantly higher anger, negative self perception and negative interpersonal style scores. The hierarchical regression analyses revealed that the depression scores of the patient group and the distress scores of the comparison group could be significantly predicted by the study variables. Self perception, interpersonal style, interpersonal anger and anger behaviors were predictors of depression points. It was concluded that negative self perception, negative interpersonal styles and anger is in correlation with depression. The results have been discussed.
