Farklı ambalaj malzemelerinin bazı meyve türlerinin muhafazası üzerine etkileri
Abstract
The aim of this research is to determine the effect of different packing materials (PA, LDPE, PP) on storage period of apple (Golden delicious, Starking), pear (Williams, Ankara) and sweet cherry (Malatya Dalbastı, Lambert) cultivars. Golden delicious and Starking apple cultivars were storaged for ten months in first and second year experiments by using LDPE, PP and PA While Williams pear cultivars storaged for six months inside PP, LDPE and PA in first year experiments, fruits were storaged only for three months in LDPE bags and five months in PP and PA during second year experiments. On the other hand Ankara pears were storaged in packing materials for ten and nine months in first and second year experiments respectivley. Storaged period for Malatya Dalbastı sweet cherry cultivar was determined as seven and eight weeks during first and second year experiments respectivley in all packing materials. In the same packing materials Lambert cultivar was storaged for five weeks in first year and six weeks in second year. While fruit firmness, ticretable acidity, respiration rate and starch level were higher in fruits storaged in PA bags than LDPE and PP bags, total soluble solids content and weight loss were found lower in all fruit cultivars. Results showed that storaged in packing materials prolongs the storaged period and decreases the activity of the fruits.
