Ouraim is to obtain data that will help to pioneer the establishment of screening and informingprograms for the population that belong to the risk groups in our country. In this pilot study, 358 patients in Ankara district that have the risk of developingcolorectal cancer has been undertaken for colonoscopy between October 2004 to February2008. Different risk groups are consisted of the patients that have had a history of cancer orpolyps in their family or polyps in their own colorectal region. (5 cases of malignant polypswere carcinoma insitu and 6 cases of invasive cancer).Ths pilot study can indicate the high prevelance of colorectal cancer in our country.Screening and early diagnosis of colorectal cancer can increase the curative probability of thiscancer. Further studies in screening and informing these patients in our country is needed
