It is observed that the essence of the business-making varieties is in a process of change in concurrent knowledge based economies that are shaped on the basis of information and communication technologies (ICT). Especially from the stand point of enterprises, Internet based B2B e-Trade presents itself as a new method for business affairs and trade.It can be stated that the expectancy of special advantages of the model under consideration for national enterprises is effective in the emergence of Internet based B2B e-Trade as a new method. Particularly for developing country enterprises, the model is perceived as an effective instrument in increasing the foreign trade.However, experienced practices convey the fact that the Internet based B2B e-Trade does not offer equal opportunities to all sides. Concerning the uneven relationship that has adverse effects on the developing country enterprises, the under-industrialized (under developed) state and insufficiency of the technological infrastructure of these countries, and briefly their lack of cultural and institutional instruments become prominent.As a developing country, Turkey also faces similar difficulties.In this study?s main subject is e-marketplaces. This study is also about investigating the impact of B2B e-commerce on access to global markets for Turkish iron-steel producers. The main aim of study is to bring out whether B2B e-commerce enables firms to advantages for safe trade in Turkey.The universe of research is built on two main steps, concerning the applications of B2B e-Trade at the iron-steel industry of Turkey:(1) Qualitative content analysis of e-Marketplace websites that offer service to the local firms at the Iron-Steel Industry,(2) Field research containing local firms that benefit from B2B Internet based e-Trade and e-Marketplace administrators that serve as a mediator to these firms.Finally the universe of research of this study consists of 2 e-Marketplaces, 12 firms.
