Seçim kuramına ve gerçeklik terapisine dayalı öfkeyle başa çıkma eğitim programının ve etkileşim grubu uygulamasının üniversite öğrencilerinin öfkeyle başa çıkma becerileri üzerindeki etkisi
Özet
The aim of this research is to compare the impact of ?coping with angertraining program? based on choice theory-reality therapy with the impact of the?training by encounter group experiences? on the university students? skills incoping with anger efficiently, and to discover the short term and long termconsequences of these practices. The research has been conducted on 60 students who were selected atrandom among the second year students of Elementary/Primary TeacherEducation Program and Guidance and Psychological Counseling Program ofthe Faculty of Education of Ankara University. In this research, 4x3 (groups x measurements) split plot design wasused. While the dependent variable is the trait anger level and the angerexpression of the students, the independent variable is training of the studentsin coping with anger and the experiences that the students had during theperiod of interaction. The marks that the students obtained from the state and trait angerscale have been the basis for the selection of the students to the researchgroups. The research has been conducted on four groups including a groupsubjected to a training program the effectiveness of which was to be tested, agroup to which encounter group was applied, a placebo interaction group towhich placebo interactivity was applied and the control group at the stand-byposition which had not been subjected to any experimentation. At the initialstage of experimentation, the 15 students in each group were given trait angerand anger expression scale as pretest, and the pretest were examined by oneway analysis of variance to see if any differences among the groups could betraced. After the completion of the applications, the scales were given to thegroups once more to obtain the final (posttest) measurements, and after amonth the scale was once more applied (follow measurement) to the groups tocollect observation data.In the analysis of the data obtained from these measurements, it wasexamined whether there is a significant difference between the measurementand groups for repeated measurements. Two-way ANOVA for repeatedmeasurement on one factor was used to test the differences between means. In order to show the impact of the experiments, Tukey test was applied. The concluding findings of this research indicate that the 11 sessioncoping with anger group program that was formed and based on choice theoryand reality therapy selected by the researcher has caused both significantdecrease in students' trait anger and anger-in levels and significant increasesin their anger control levels. However, it has also been discovered that theprogram has had no significant impact on anger-out.A second experiment group was the group made-up of students whowere subjected to encounter group applications. It has been observed that theapplications in this group have caused a decrease in the trait anger level of thestudents, and that they had no significant impact on the anger-in and anger-out levels of the students and that they had a significant impact on increasingtheir anger control levels.
