Özet
Shaykh Abd al-rahman was born in Aktepe village in Cinar the province of Diyarbakir in 1854. His father is Shaykh Hasan-i Nûrânî descending from the Khalidi ancestry. He was educated firstly as a pupil by his father and was his father he who gave him the scientific idjaza. After his father died, he was teached by Molla Muhammad Efendi, a caliph of his father, and soon he reached the caliphate degree that was aprroved by Molla Muhammad Efendi. After he hold the caliphate degree, he started his irshad activities in Aktepe village area, more and mora his area extanded and widened.Among the the works written by Shaykh Abd al-rahman who is known to write a great number of books, thirteen books are available today. He used the nick Ruhi in his poems. His ability of Arabic, Persian, Otoman Turkish and Kurdish languages and proficiency in literary usages is appeared through his works as well as his skill as a poet. Rawd al-naim and Divan-i Ruhi are his well known works, both are writtin in masnawi style. Also Rabita, and Tarikat adabi are the tretises written by him. On the other hand being keen on astronomy he made a globe, of walnut wood, alongside with some regional calenderical works.Shaykh Abd al-rahman, through his great skill on religion, belief, mystics, law, kalam, astronomy, scientific, literary ve Islamic fields he found a library containing a great number of manuscripts. But unfortunately, of the library, today only two hundred and fifty manuscripts are availiable.Shaykh Abd al-rahman died in Diyarbakir in 1910 and was buried in Aktepe village alongside with his father
